August Movie Review.

Woo!! It's Fri-YAY!! I feel like this week flew by!!

I am super duper excited for today's post, because I am sharing my August movie review!!

This month, me and my dad decided to have a movie night each week. And this is how it works: He picks 3 movies, and I pick one of those 3 movies to watch that night!! Pretty nice, huh!!

So without any further introduction, let's get into it!!

1. Jojo Rabbit

This movie is about a boy named Jojo whose imaginary friend is Hitler. He idolizes Hitler, and his goal is to in life is to join the Hitler Youth. But his viewpoints change when he finds a Jew, named Elsa, hiding in his house.

This was a incredibly sweet, and also funny movie. The relationships between the characters was really something that I enjoyed a lot in this film.

This movie is a comedy, but it is also very serious. I think that was a reason I really liked this movie. It was funny, but also touches on these serious subjects.

I also really enjoyed it being from a child's perspective, who has no clue what the real world is like, and seeing him realize more, and more, overtime, what it is like.

2. Inception

This movie was...a lot.

This movie is about Cobb, a man who can infiltrate the minds of others in order to steal their ideas. But then he tries to do the opposite when he is hired to introduce an idea to a rival's mind.

This movie is really hard to follow. In the beginning I felt it was a little confusing, but I still understood it. Fast forward to the end of the movie, I had no clue what had just happened. Like a dream in a dream in a dream? What?! I did think it had a good cast, but man! it was just so hard to follow!!

Overall, this movie has a really interesting concept, but it's just hard to understand it all.

3. Knive's Out

I LOVED this movie!!!

This is a whodunit movie about a man who dies after a family gathering - everyone in the family is a suspect.

This was my favorite movie of the month - I LOVED it!! I've always enjoyed whodunit things - books (if you have any whodunit book recommendations - please comment!!) , movies, etc. so I kinda already knew I was going to enjoy it, and it did not disappoint!! This movie kept me on the toes the whole time, and I loved that!

4. Contagion

This movie was so weird to watch!!

This movie is basically the same thing we are going through on a much larger scale. There is a virus going around, and the world shuts down. Crazy.

Isn't it weird to think that this movie came out 9 years ago, and no one ever thought that this could actually happen, and yet, 9 years later, we are in a global pandemic!!

I really liked this movie, and it was super interesting to watch right now!! I also liked it, because it shows what all the doctors are doing, and what the government is doing to stop the spread of this virus.

Overall, I really enjoyed this movie, and I thought it was super interesting!!

Well that is all for today!! Thank you so much for reading, and I will see you here on Monday!! Have a great weekend!!
