What I'm Thankful For This Thanksgiving.

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

As everyone is aware, 2020 has not been the best year. Obviously, our lives have all changed in some way, big or small. That is why I think it is so important, especially with the circumstances surrounding us, that we take a minute to be thankful for all the things that we have this year, so today I am sharing some things that I am grateful for this year.

1. F A M I L Y

Obviously family is number 1 on the list. I am so thankful for the supportive family that I have. With whatever may happen in life, I know that my family is always backing me up, and I am so thankful to have that.

I am also super grateful for the role I play as the older sister. Watching my siblings grow up and blossom is something that I have always taken for granted, so this year, I am really trying to appreciate that.

"Sisters by chance, friends by choice."

Even though we argue. A lot. I am super thankful that I have a sister. I can't imagine my life without Anna, and neither would I want it!!

I am also super, super thankful that I get a little bro!! Love my Huddy Buddy!! Can not picture what my life would be like without him!

2. F R I E N D S

Man, I have the best friends!! I am so extremely grateful that God placed these girls in my life, and I have no clue where I would be without them!!

3. B L O G G I N G

I am so, so thankful that I am able to do what I love every day. I love, love, love blogging. Sharing my life, and interacting with others are things I am so grateful that I get to do each and every day!! Little Bit of Life blog has been going strong for over a year, and it’s not planning on stopping anytime soon!!

4. P R I V I L E G E

As a white girl, I realize that I have privileges that a lot of people don’t have. I don’t have to fear for my life while going on a run in my neighborhood, or even just wearing a hood over my head. This is completely not okay, and I determined to help correct police brutality and systematic racism in America in whatever way that I can. I am thankful that I don’t have to fear for my life from the people who are meant to protect me, and I want to make it that way for all who live in this country.

5.  E D U C A T I O N

I know that I’m about to sound like a nerd, but I am really thankful that I am able to get an education. I realize that many people don’t have this opportunity and that it is something that I really take for granted.

6. H E A L T H & H A P P I N E S S

As we are in a worldwide pandemic, I am extremely thankful that my family and I stayed healthy during this time. It is something that we really take for granted, as there are thousands of people dying every day. Speaking of which...I touched on this on Friday, but I’m saying it again: Please, please, please, stay home, wear a mask, and follow all of the CDC guidelines. We aren’t going to get anywhere if people keep being inconsiderate!! Mask it or casket. Seriously. Mask it or casket.

Well, that wraps up some of the things I am thankful for!! There are so many things to be grateful for this year, so please take a minute today to appreciate all the things that you have. I hope you all have a fabulous day, and I will see you tomorrow.
