Birmingham Recap!

Monday, February 8, 2021

Oh, Monday. Why did you have to come again? Please, please, please go easy on me...Okay?

Oh well.

Today I am finally sharing my Birmingham recap!! We had so much fun, and I can't wait to share it all with you!!

We hit the road on Friday at about 9:30! Birmingham is only around one and a half hours away, so the drive wasn't bad at all!!

I spent the car ride reading...Who's surprised?

We drove for about 45 minutes until we made it to our first stop...

Bass Pro Shop!! Huddy was so excited ;)

We strolled around in Bass Pro for a while looking at all the animals, all the hunting gear, and all the fish...

We love the fish ;)

The bear was Huddy's favorite...It's like a museum in there!!

He also loved the cougar which he specifically asked to take a selfie by!! Haha!!

After our rousing in Bass Pro, we headed out on the road again!! It was another 45 minutes before making it to...

PF Changs!!

I think this picture is a mix of Huddy worrying about the food and not wanting to take a picture!! Haha!! Are your boys picky about their food? Hudson is SO picky!!

First up...lettuce wraps. Oh my goodness, these were DELICIOUS!!

We sat by the window so we had a super pretty view!!

Then the food arrived!! Anna and I had fried rice. Huddy had lo mien. My mom had Mongolian beef and my dad had some sort of Thai dish!! It was all SO good!!

We loved trying out the chopsticks!!

Ignore the super messy table...We had such a good time!!

Then it was shopping time!! I kinda lacked on the photos shopping but here's a list (from what I can remember) of all the stores we went to!!

Lululemon
Lush
Altar'd State
Barnes & Noble
Francesca's
Kate Spade
Kendra Scott
Mountain High Outfitters
Swoozie's
The Pink Tulip
Thrive Boutique
Trader Joe's
Vera Bradley

First up, Lush!! Anna and I got a bubble bar!!

And then, I didn't get any more pictures except for these two...Oh well.

Side note, my sweater is HERE (size up!!) and Anna's is HERE!!

We love us some Birmingham!!

Sista, sista!!

Then we went to my new FAVORITE place!! Barnes and Noble!! I got two books, Scythe and Six of Crows!! Anna got a Michelle Obama book and Huddy got a book on the Holocaust!! My siblings reading makes my bookworm heart so happy...Not to mention books that I love. 🙂

After Barnes and Noble, we went to Trader Joe's!! Do you have a Trader Joe's where you live? We don't :( We stocked up on all the goodies while we could!! My favorite is cookie butter!! YUM!!

We hopped in the car for another 45 minutes before making it to our final destination...MILKSHAKES!!!! Yum, yum, and YUM!! We got a birthday cake one (yes, there was a full piece of cake on the top) and a cookies and creme one (with cheesecake)!! Let me tell you, these do not last long with a family of 5...We DOWNED them!! They were so yum!!!

And then the aftermath. We cleaned up, hopped in the car, and then headed home!!

Well, that was our quick Birmingham trip!! We had so much fun!! Have y'all done anything fun lately? I'd love to hear!! Have a great Monday!! Praying it goes easy on all of us!!

  11. Ella, what an amazing family trip! It looks like a such a wonderful time! We do not have any of these stores near us like Bass Pro Shops, Barnes and Noble (or any bookstore for that matter, very sad), or Trader Joe's. I do miss having a bookstore near me. I love browsing through the shelves. Thanks for sharing your beautiful family and your wonderful trip with us!
