January 2021.

Whew!! We are done with the first month of 2021!! Crazy!! It's gone by SO fast!! Weren't we just counting down? Abby and I were talking about this...We are 1/12 done with 2021!! Isn't that strange?!

Today I am reviewing my January!! It's been another month...at home. Lot's of school, blogging, and family.

Also - I'm changing up my monthly wrap-ups a little...There's a bunch of random prompts, but January was a boring month...We need a little bit of random๐Ÿ˜‚

DAILY LIFE

Daily life was honestly, so boring. My month started out VERY busy. I would have school, then work on my blog for a while, and then I would read for the rest of the day. That happened for about a week and then I realized that I was not working on my resolution which is to live in the moment. I was very caught up in school, blogging, and reading nonstop so the next week I focused on spending some more time with my family. I watched the SEC championship, went shopping, all instead of being cooped up in my room. Then, it got more boring which is where I am now. School, blogging, the to-do list growing and growing. But, I feel like I've been doing a better job of balancing all of my "work" stuff and family stuff. I definitely still spend a majority of the day in my room "working" but I feel like I've gotten better at choosing to spend time with my family rather than reading or watching TV.

FAVORITES

Oooh!! I have a few favorites from January that I haven't yet talked about!! I have a whole post coming soon, so I'm not going to share too much, but I have 2 that I will talk about!! And that is...

I got both of these for Christmas and I LOVE them!!! I used to use the Revlon paddle-brush hairdryer, but I was getting kinda tired of it so I asked for the round-brush version for Christmas!! I've been LOVING it!! It's so much easier to use, and I can get all my hair dry in about 15-20 minutes!! It's amazing!! It gives you a ton of volume and leaves your hair so soft which is so nice for me with very coarse hair!!

The other thing I've been loving is my charging station!! I can charge my watch, pencil, phone, and headphones all in one place!! It's so easy and you don't have to worry about cords!! I have it in white, but it comes in lots of other colors!!

SCHOOL

Whoo! School. School this month started out great. I didn't have too much to do so I was able to get ahead in most of my classes and relax. Right now, our projects for the 3rd nine weeks are beginning so we've been very busy. It'll probably be like this for the next few weeks before we get a break. Like I mentioned, I've been able to get ahead of my classes which has been so nice. I have already finished all the tests for my english class this year and I only have two more left for science. Math is harder to get ahead of because I am no good at math๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm hoping to finish up all my world history tests before March, but we'll see how that goes.

FASHION

I've said it before but I'll say it again.

Hello, my name is Ella and I love to wear leggings and sweatshirts. Every single day of my life.

This month I dressed up about once a week. But listen, I do virtual school, I have no reason to dress up AND I will be going back to school next year so why not enjoy wearing loungewear while I can! A posted an OOTW two weeks ago, and that pretty much sums up what I've been wearing all of January.

Looks a lot like this...Every day :)

FITNESS

Fitness this month started very, very slow. The first few weeks I really didn't do anything. Now, I've been working out each weekday morning. I've also been going on walks around my neighborhood a few times a week!! I'm hoping to crack down a little bit harder in February as I've developed more of a routine. We'll see how it goes :)

BOOKS

LOOKING BACK ON JANUARY

January was a pretty chill month. It was boring and kinda lonely, but other than that, it was a very productive month and I got a lot done. We had the inauguration, an insurrection, the SEC championship, so we were pretty much staring at our TV screens the whole time.

JANUARY AT A GLANCE

THIS MONTH ON THE BLOG
Whew!! That officially wraps up my January!! Thank you so much for reading and I will see you back here tomorrow for my February goals!!

  5. I think that is so neat that you can work ahead in your classes! My son is only able to do that with math and Spanish since they are both fully online courses and he's managed to already complete up to 1/2 of next year's math requirement too!

    1. Wow!! With my school's program, we're supposed to be able to work ahead (into the next grade) but I think that's going to look a little different this year due to me being virtual.

  8. Ella, I am seriously so inspired by how well you do balance all the things you have going on from school to blogging to family and friends. You are rocking it, my friend! And you look adorable in your leggings and sweatshirts so if that's what makes you happy and comfortable, go for it! Also I have to go check out this wireless charging station you have! My kids keep destroying the charger cords so none will connect to my phone anymore. I am liking the idea of a wireless charger! Thanks for linking with me.

  9. Those are nice Christmas gifts. The charging stations sounds like something that would be very handy to have. The dog is so cute. Karen
